Have a Ball at Aberdeen Yarnfest 2019!
We have so much going on this year, you have to become part of it! Come and join us at Aberdeen Yarnfest on Sunday 9 June 2019 at the Doubletree Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel! We’re thrilled to be back for a second year, with almost twice as many exhibitors and double the fun!
Explore the wonderful world of wool and other natural fibres – from fleece to finished article, and every stage in-between. Whether you’re looking for sumptuous yarns, that “must have” accessory, a gift for a friend or something fabulous for yourself, you’re sure to find it at Aberdeen Yarnfest. But Aberdeen Yarnfest is not just about the shopping, although you will marvel at the range of goods on show. Make time to watch the experts at work in our demonstration area; try your hand at spinning and weaving in our demonstration area, knit or crochet a few rows on our Stranger Scarf. If that seems a lot to pack in, then just bring your current Work In Progress and relax, refresh and catch up with fellow crafters in our Click and Claik Café before another look around.
Please note that tickets can be purchased on the door at the event but this is cash only!

Workshops : Our Workshop programme is so packed, we’re running it over 2 days: Saturday 8th June (these are running at John Lewis in the Bon Accord Centre Aberdeen) and Sunday 9th June (these are at the Doubletree Aberdeen Treetops) - you’re sure to find one to suit. Learn a new skill or enhance your current abilities in knitting, crochet, weaving, needle felting and Dorset Buttons - book your tickets now!
Wool for Warmth : Looking to de-stash for a good cause? Why not make a cosy hat, scarf, gloves or any other warm garment for someone in need? What says that you care more than a lovingly hand crafted gift? We’ll be collecting finished articles at Aberdeen Yarnfest, and at locations throughout the city and shire. Check out this link to find out where you can drop off your hand crafted articles. You can also drop them off at Aberdeen Yarnfest on 8th and 9th June 2019!
World Wide Knit in Public Day : Saturday 8th June 2019 : Aberdeen Yarnfest is joining forces with Charlie House and the ReCHarge Café and the Bon Accord Centre to welcome knitters and crocheters to participate in communal event to celebrate all that is great about crafting!
